Religious Education

That the Light of Christ may be
       .....kindled in our children
           .....radiated through our families, and
               .....spread throughout our community.

Welcome to St. Dunstan's Religious Education Program! We are blessed with many families and children who come together in many different ways in our vibrant Church community. Our program is three-pronged, based on our mission statement above. We provide catechesis, special Masses to worship with our parish and community service projects. Three different programs comprise our faith formation model:

  • Pre-K through Grade 5 held weekly in either Hebron Avenue or Gideon Welles schools
    • Completion of Grade 1 is required prior to entry into the sacramental preparation year
    • Preparation for the Sacraments of First Communion and First Reconciliation occur in Grade 2.  Click here for  First Holy Communion Information
    • Click here to view list of Pre-K through Grade 5 schedules.

  • Grades 6-7-8 10 classes are held throughout the school year at Gideon Welles School. Click here for schedules.

  • Confirmation Preparation held approximately once a month in the church hall. This is a two-year preparation program beginning in Grade 9 and culminating with Confirmation in the Spring of Grade 10.

If you have missed years of catechesis, we welcome you back! Please call the Religious Education Manager, Tricia Kearney, to discuss getting caught up (860-633-6876).
